Internationally qualified nurses who want to become registered nurses in New Zealand take the IQN exam, which is a computer-based test with multiple choice questions. The exam measures the applicants' proficiency in both nursing theory and practice in New Zealand. The IQN exam is held at Pearson VUE test centres in India and abroad.
There are two sections to the 120 questions in the IQN exam:

Medication Safety
Thirty minutes and twelve questions
Questions about the safety of fluids and medications
Part B:
Knowledge of Nursing
135 minutes and 108 questions
